Citebuilt subscriptions are sold through Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Paddle processes every payment and every refund on behalf of CiteBuilt.
The 3-day trial
Every subscription can start with a 3-day trial. A payment method is required to begin it, but nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends and you are never billed — the account simply moves to the Free plan. The trial is the intended way to evaluate the product before spending anything.
14-day refund on your first payment
If you are charged and the product is not right for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of that first charge and we will refund it in full. No justification required.
Renewals
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing → Manage subscription.
- Cancelling stops the next charge; access continues to the end of the period already paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan.
- Renewal payments are not refunded pro-rata for the unused part of a period, except where consumer law in your country requires it.
Faults and service failure
If the service is materially broken for you and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time, contact us — we will refund the affected period even if the 14 days have passed. Statutory consumer rights always apply on top of this policy and are not limited by it.
How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] from your account address, with the invoice or order reference.
- We acknowledge within 2 business days and instruct Paddle to refund approved requests immediately.
- Paddle returns the money to the original payment method; your bank typically shows it within 5–10 business days.
